APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PEAK METAL TEMPERATURE BY INDUCTION HEATING OF COATING STRIP

An apparatus and method for controlling the peak metal temperature by induction heating of a coating strip is provided to be able to prevent surface quality of the strip from being lowered by accurately adjusting a peak metal temperature of an induction heated coating strip in a production process of evaporating thinner and applying coating using an induction heating equipment in a color coating strip production line. An apparatus for controlling a peak metal temperature by induction heating of a coating strip comprises: a longitudinal strip temperature calculation part(310) for calculating a strip temperature relative to the entire longitudinal direction of the induction heating oven based on inlet and outlet strip temperatures of a hot air blower(210) in an induction heating oven(200); a temperature difference calculation part(320) for calculating a difference between the calculated strip temperature relative to the entire length direction of the induction heating oven and the outlet strip temperature of the induction heating oven; an emissivity measuring part(330) for measuring actual emissivities of the strip if the temperature difference calculated in the temperature difference calculation part exceeds a set tolerance; and an emissivity control part(340) for controlling a heating temperature of the induction heating oven such that the actually measured emissivities become an emissivity corresponding to a set peak metal temperature of the strip.
