[PROBLEMS] To provide a sewing machine usable for thick sewn materials such as tent fabric or canvas which are used for fabric members for parachute and tent or thick sewn materials for leather products and capable of forming four stitches at a time, securely and easily feeding a fabric in sewing the sewn material since its thickness is large, and efficiently and securely forming the stitches. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] This sewing machine for main sewing comprises four needles and four shuttles. The needles are disposed on the inner sides of the inner tangents of these shuttles. According to the lowering of the needles, an intermediate retainer lowers and a feeding teeth rises to put stitches in a sewn matter while pressing the sewn matter. Also, the sewn matter can be fed by moving the retainer and the feeding teeth in a feeding direction in association with each other.
