A driver chip, a display device having the same and a repair method are provided to easily repair a line failure in a COG(Chip On Glass) structure by installing a dummy buffer in a source driver chip. An output buffer unit outputs a data signal to plural data lines(DL) formed in a display area of a display panel. Dummy buffers(610,620) are electrically connected to a repair portion crossing an end portion of the data lines, in which the repair portion is formed in peripheral areas(PA1,PA2,PA3,PA4) surrounding the display area in a ring shape. The repair portion has a first repair line(330) crossed with a first end portion of the data lines, and a second repair line(340) electrically connected to the first repair portion through the dummy buffer, in which the second repair section is crossed with a second end portion of the data lines.
