A cathode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided to ensure electron conductivity on a cathode active material layer comprising active material particles having a small particle diameter, and to realize improved output characteristics of a battery. A cathode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a collector; and a cathode active material layer formed on the surface of the collector and comprising a cathode active material, conductive agent and binder, wherein the cathode active material has an average particle diameter of 5 micrometers or less, and the conductive agent comprises a microparticular conductive material having a size of less than 1 micrometer as present in the form of aggregates and a lone chain-shaped conductive material.
