A terpolymer, an additive mixture comprising the terpolymer, fuel oil comprising the terpolymer, and a method for improving cold fluidity of the fuel oil are provided to improve the cold fluidity of middle distillate and improve the performance of the additive mixture. A terpolymer of ethylene, at least one ethylene-based unsaturated ester, and propene comprises 4.0-12.0 mol % of structural units derived from at least one ethylene-based unsaturated ester having a C4-C20 alkyl radical, 0.5-4.0 methyl groups derived from propene per 100 aliphatic carbon atoms, and less than 8.0 methyl groups derived from chain ends per 100 CH2 groups. The terpolymer contains 4.5-10 mol% of the ethylene-based unsaturated ester. Further, the ethylene-based unsaturated ester is a vinyl ester of carboxylic acid of having 5-21 carbon number. |
