A route searching method of a car navigation system is provided to select easily a desired route of a user by providing various modes to the user. A position searching menu is selected(S10). A driver selects a desired destination(S12). A search button is selected on the position searching menu(S14). A searching process is performed in an easy mode, a general mode, and a short mode(S16). A distance, a required time, and a cost are displayed in each of the easy mode, the general mode, and the short mode(S18). A fast route and an economic route are calculated in each of the easy mode, the general mode, and the short mode and are overlapped on the corresponding mode(S20). An arbitrary mode is selected(S22). A guiding operation is performed according to the selected mode(S24). |
