<p>A food cutting device (100) for cutting food items into smaller pieces, comprises a receptacle (110/120) having an entrance (121) through which food items can be introduced into the receptacle (110/120) and an exit (111) through which smaller pieces can be dispensed from the receptacle (110/120), a rotary cutter (140) provided in the receptacle (110/120) for cutting the food items into smaller pieces, and a handle (130) connected with the receptacle (110/120), by means of which the overall food cutting device (100) can be held and carried by only one hand of a user. A driving mechanism (170) is provided between the cutter (140) and the handle (130) for manual operation by the user to operate the cutter (140), including an operating member (171) that is located at or adjacent to the handle (130) for movement and hence operation by the same hand holding and carrying the overall food cutting device (100).</p> |
