A scanning-type inkjet image forming apparatus is provided to improve printed image quality by preventing printing areas from being overlapped by adjacent nozzles. A scanning-type inkjet image forming apparatus comprises a nozzle group(NG) consisting of N nozzles, a print head(111) having at least one nozzle group, a driving unit(150) driving the N nozzles and printing an image, and a control unit(130) generating a control signal for driving the driving unit so as to perform time-division driving of the nozzles of the nozzle group and the N nozzles divided into M blocks. The control unit sequentially drives the nozzles of the nozzle group and then drives the nozzles of the M blocks, where a driving order for the nozzle group and a driving order for the M blocks are the same in direction, and N and M are an integer of 2 or more.
