A method for forming a sealing layer of a planar solid oxide fuel cell is provided to allow the thickness and shape of a sealing layer to be controlled easily and to lower a manufacturing cost. A method for forming a sealing layer of a planar solid oxide fuel cell comprises the steps of forming a frame capable of putting a sealing material slurry on the position where a sealing layer is formed; pouring sealing material slurry into the formed frame; drying the sealing material slurry to form a sealing material coating; and removing the frame. Preferably the position where a sealing layer is formed, is the outer part except the position where an end cell is located and is placed between upper and lower connecting materials. |
