Antimicrobial compositions comprising silver

An antimicrobial composition comprising silver and at least one compound which is an inhibitor of microbial silver resistance. Inhibitor compounds include fusaric acid, tocopherol, resveratrol, and myristic acid. Also provided are wound dressings comprising the inventive compositions. Other exemplified inhibitors include green tea, curcumin and ellagic acid.
