A helical tube 47 connected to a water supply pipe 48 and provided with jet or spray openings, is disposed between the lower turns of the track 25 to wash the tops and undersides of the gears. A similar tube 49 for rinsing purposes is disposed above the tube 47. Rinsing water is prevented from draining into the washing section by a helical shield 53 which directs it to a receptacle on the outside of the shell 11. Hot air for drying may be supplied through the pipe 61. |
