There is provided an antibody that specifically binds folate receptor-alpha and is capable of eliciting antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity or complement-dependent cytotoxicity and internalizing within folate receptor alpha-bearing cells, for use in combination with paclitaxel for the treatment in a subject of cancers that bear folate receptor-alpha.
