Electro-optical display cell presenting a uniform optical aspect and its manufacturing process

The cell has a front substrate arranged on a side of an observer and a rear substrate arranged parallel to and remote from the front substrate. The front and rear substrates have sides comprising electrodes and corresponding counter electrodes, which define together an active zone of the cell, in which a pattern (1, 2, 4) is displayed, where the pattern is formed of segments (1a-1g, 2a-2g). A filling channel follows circumference of an electrode and confines an optically active liquid i.e. liquid crystal. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating an electro-optical display cell.
