A filter cartridge for water purification and a water purifier using the same are provided to produce purified water containing components good for human bodies, and improve durability and water purification performance, by processing a porous rock to manufacture the filter cartridge. A first filter(2) is formed by processing a porous rock, wherein the first filter has a receiving groove(20), an opened upper end, and a closed lower end. A second filter(4) is inserted into the receiving groove of the first filter. A cap(6) is joined to the opening of the first filter, wherein the cap has a water discharge port(62). The second filter includes a case(42) having a plurality of input holes(44), wherein the case is filled with activated carbon particles or zeolite particles. Further, a diameter of the second filter is less than that of the receiving groove of the first filter.
