There is disclosed an aircraft system for control of the application of power to a plurality of devices in the aircraft, the system comprising: a plurality of local control modules, each local control modules for controlling the application of said power to said group of at least one device; a plurality of local control module connection arrangements, each said local control module connection arrangement being adapted to connect to a said local control module; a communication line connected to said local control module connection arrangements; and a central control system for communicating with and controlling said local control modules over said communications line; each said local control module connection arrangement including a storage device storing information for configuring a said local control module, and each said local control module including an arrangement for obtaining the information in said storage device for the configuration of said local control module. |
