A doorstop is provided to hold a swingable bar securely in place and manufacture the doorstop at a low cost by using a generic cylindrical swingable bar, and by successively inserting a washer and an elastic spring to the swingable bar. The swingable bar is shafted between two hinge projecting pieces of a fixing plate. A doorstop has a swingable bar(12), capped with a rubber piece(20), shafted to a fixing plate(2). The fixing plate has two hinge projecting pieces(6). The hinge projecting pieces have outer peripheral guiding surfaces(6b) and upper engaging protrusions(6a). A hinge coupling part(14) of the swingable bar is coupled between the two hinge projecting pieces by a shaft pin(10). A washer(18a) and an elastic spring(18b) are successively inserted to the hinge coupling part and are held in place by a fixing pin(16). As the swingable bar holding the door open is lifted upwards, the washer come in contact with the outer peripheral guiding surfaces, and the elastic force of the spring swing the bar along the outer peripheral guiding surfaces. When the swingable bar is completely swung over, the washer is engaged to the upper engaging protrusions by being pushed downward by the elastic spring. |
