The lock (1) is portable and is for a bicycle and has a housing (2) in which is one locking part (5) and one blocking device (10). The blocking device blocks or releases from movement the locking part in relation to the housing for openiong and closure of the lock. The lock is provided with a memory (6) and a generator (8), which are intended for the creation of electrical energy by the user when the lock is operated. The locking part and the operating part for it at least in the closed state of the lock are uncoupled from each other. A key (16) is provided with transmission means for sending at least one key identification code for remote operation of a lock and is provided with a movement sensor for activation of the transmission means.
