A device for assembling a backlight unit where assembling and testing processes are simultaneously performed is provided to reassemble a semi-finished backlight unit before a shading sheet is assembled if the semi-finished backlight unit is determined as inferior goods, thereby reusing expensive optical sheets without damage. If assembling work of a protection sheet of a semi-finished backlight unit is completed, a controller(60) operates an operating unit to supply power in a state that an FPCB(Flexible Printed Circuit Board) is pressed by a silicon pad member so as to be stably connected to a power supply terminal. The controller analyzes an image signal, obtained by a camera(40), by using a program to determine whether the semi-finished backlight unit is inferior goods or not. If so, the controller returns the silicon pad member to an original state, omits a shading sheet attaching process by a laminating unit(35) for a shading sheet, and discharges the semi-finished backlight unit to a conveyor(37) for inferior goods by using a discharge process unit(36).
