A front body structure for a vehicle is provided to prevent a particular element constituting an inner space of the vehicle from being deformed by effectively transmitting impact load into a vehicle frame member forming a body frame. A front body structure for a vehicle comprises a front wheel(1) arranged on two sides of the vehicle, vehicle frame members(3,5,7,15) and front-wheel traverse controllers(15a,15,7b,18,19,21,23) installed on the vehicle frame member. The vehicle frame member includes a side sill(7) arranged behind the front wheel of the vehicle and a front side member(3) disposed inside the front wheel in a width direction of the vehicle. The front side member has a front side for absorbing impact energy and a rear portion for transferring the impact energy. The front-wheel traverse controller has an outer projection projected on a front end of the side sill toward the front side of the side sill in fore and aft of the vehicle.
