A sidewalk block capable of making a sound is provided to alert a blind person of a starting point, waiting point, transfer point and destination point, as well as to carry electric and communication cables within the sidewalk block by disposing a sounding room within the sidewalk block and conduit lines below the sounding room, thereby assisting blind persons as well as beautifying the city. In a sidewalk block(1) having Braille letters embossed, an empty sounding room(3) is provided inside the block. The sidewalk block can make distinguishing noises depending on the width of the block and thickness of upper surface of the block. Conduit lines are disposed below the sounding room. On each conduit lines, an electric cable and communication cable are separately accommodated. The sounds made from the sounding room are transfer point, waiting point, starting point, and destination point. Each sound is unique. The sidewalk block and the conduit lines are made from materials containing 80 to 85% of polycarbonate by weight, 10 to 15% of rubber by weight, 2 to 5% of Acrylic impact modifier, 1% of UV stabilizer, 0.5% of heat stabilizer, and 0.5% of lubricant by weight. |
