A clamping apparatus and a clamping method for brake shoe welding operation are provided to solidly maintain the fixed and held state of the rim and the web until the welding operation is completed when welding a rim and a web, and sufficiently secure a movement space of a robot arm for performing an automated welding process, and a brake shoe welding method using the same is provided. A clamping apparatus for brake shoe welding operation comprises: a frame(20) providing a space in which respective components are to be installed; a block(30) which is installed on a central part of the frame, and of which an upper face(31) has a curvature corresponding to that of the web to sequentially stack a rim(11) and a web(12) on the block; a rim extending unit(40) which is installed on the frame of both sides of the block, and which has a curvature somewhat larger than that of the upper face of the block to closely adhere both ends of the rim onto the upper face of the block; and a pressing unit(50) which is installed on the frame of both sides of the rim extending unit, and which closely adheres and fixes the web to the rim by pressing both ends of the web toward the rim when the web is placed on the upper face of the rim.
