A device for transferring a wire rod coil is provided to perform a more stable transfer operation of the wire rod coil by preventing scratch flaws from generating on an inner diameter surface of the wire rod coil although the wire rod coil shakes when a C-hook stops or starts. In a wire rod coil transfer device for transferring a wire rod coil collected in a coil shape in a state that the wire rod coil is inserted onto a C-hook, the wire rod coil transfer device comprises a wire rod coil placement member(20) which is made of a material having a strength lower than that of the wire rod coil and formed on an upper part of a lower horizontal member(14) of the C-hook in an arc shape having a curvature equal to that of the inner diameter of the wire rod coil. The wire rod coil placement member is mounted on the lower horizontal member by means of a clamping bolt(18) such that the wire rod coil placement member can be disassembled from the lower horizontal member. The wire rod coil placement member has a joining projection(21) formed downward in a lower central part thereof, and the lower horizontal member has a joining groove(15) formed in an upper central part thereof such that the joining projection is inserted into the joining groove.
