A data transceiving method of a portable terminal for a video call is provided to be capable of transmitting a video stream by attaching a user's video stream data when a video call is conducted, thus limited resources of wireless communication can be efficiently used, consequently utility of the terminal is increased. User data is selected(S401,S403). A video stream for a video call is obtained through a camera unit of a portable terminal. A surplus space of preset data size is generated in the video stream(S405). The user data is attached to the surplus space(S407). Control data including an indicator having the attached user data information is generated(S409). The video stream and the control data are multiplexed and transmitted(S411-S415).
