A plasma display panel is provided to prevent a barrier rib from colliding with a front substrate by decreasing a stress applied on a vertical barrier rib member during a thermal deformation process. A plasma display panel includes first and second substrates, a barrier rib(16), first and second electrodes(21,23), an address electrode, and a dielectric layer(28). The second substrate(10) is arranged to be opposite to the first substrate(20). The barrier rib defines discharge cells between the first and second substrates. The first and second electrodes are elongated in a first direction and form a discharge gap in the discharge cell. The address electrode is elongated in a second direction which crosses the first direction. The dielectric layer covers the address electrode. The barrier rib includes a vertical barrier rib member(16b) which is elongated in the second direction to define the discharge cell. A filling member(31) is intermittently formed along the second direction in the vertical barrier rib member.
