The equipment is for covering containers on a vehicle on their open upper side and involves at lesta one arm on the vehicle positioned at one outer end between first and second positions. It is fixed displaceably on the vehicle and is provided with a rapid coupling component at a second outer end opposite to the first. It couples on the at least one arm a holder for an uncovering component or for the removal of that component. The at least one arm is displacable between a safety position within the outer periphery of the vehicle and an operational condition. Between the container (2) and the left-hand rear wheel (3) is a drive (4) for the arm (5) which is connected to the drive via a shaft (6) within the contours of the vehicle in a secure state.
