A BOLLARD FOR SUPPRESSION OF AN AUTOMOBILE ENTRY

A bollard for controlling the traffic is provided to prevent a pillar of the bollard from being knocked down to the ground or uprooted when a vehicle or a pedestrian hits the bollard by burying pillar fixing members into a ground and filling concrete into a space between the pillar fixing members, thereby securely fixing the bollard in the ground and allow springs installed at a lower end of the bollard to upright the bollard when the vehicle or the pedestrian accidentally knocks the bollard over. A bollard is composed of a pillar(2), pillar fixing members(3), and springs(4). The pillar is made of stainless steel, and has an impact buffering band(20) and reflective material(21) around an upper part of the pillar. Spring installing grooves are disposed on a lower end of the pillar. The pillar fixing members are buried in the ground and support the pillar. The pillar fixing members have female threads disposed on an upper inner surface, allowing a cap(7) having male threads to be screwed to the pillar fixing members. The pillar fixing members have a space(14) between the members whereto concrete is filled for preventing the bollard from being knocked down or spring upwards upon collision with a vehicle or a pedestrian. Lower ends of the springs are installed on the spring installing grooves of the pillar, and spring support devices(5) and the cap are fitted on inner sides of the springs to support the springs. A spring assembling device(6) is assembled above the springs at the lower end of the pillar by using a bolt(8) and a nut(10), and holds the springs in place by pressing down on the springs. A corrugated cover(18) placed at the outer peripheral of the lower end of the pillar hides the supported springs and supporting plates from view.
