A fluid resistant solenoid actuated valve (10) having a unitary bobbin and valve housing (12); the unitary housing (12) defining a valve seat connection assembly (50) adjacent the fluid connection end; a portion of the bobbin housing being deformable upon application of a coil (14) winding to secure a solenoid core (26) placed in the housing (12); the coil having a pair of electrical leads (18, 20) extending over substantially the length of the coil (14). The coil (14) and leads (18, 20) are encapsulated to provide fluid resistance.
