A remote controller having a function of linking a macro function to a control button is provided to generate buttons with various macro functions, and to link the macro function to a device control button for executing the macro function immediately in a device mode. A remote controller having a function of linking a macro function to a control button comprises a case, plural hard buttons(20), a screen panel(30), an LCD panel(40), a circuit board and a battery(60). The case embeds and fixes components. The plural hard buttons(20), exposed from an exterior of the case, executes specific functions. The screen panel(30), exposed on a front face of the case, plays a role of a touch button. The LCD panel(40), positioned at a rear surface of the screen panel(30), displays an operation state of the remote controller and a position of the touch button. The circuit board consists of a CPU(51), a memory(52), a signal transmitter(53), a signal receiver(54) and a power unit(55) wherein the signal transmitter(53) transmits an instruction of the remote controller to a device, and the signal receiver(54) receives data from the device or other remote controller. The battery(60) supplies power for each component of the remote controller. A macro function, which performs a series of operations for operating sequentially a specific device or various kinds of devices, can be edited. The edited macro function can be set to a specific function. The macro function set to a specific button can be duplicately set and linked to other button.
