[Also in Division F4] A tubular support 1 for a hollow fluid-distributing ring 8 containing a revolvable drying roller is clamped at one end to a pipe 4 carrying the drying fluid and at the other end has an arcuate surface 6 to carry the ring 8. The upper end of the tube bore is enlarged at 13 and has a step 13a forming an abutment for a spring 14. Sliding in the enlargement 13 is a sealing ring 15 having an external diameter equal to the internal diameter of the enlargement, which is forced by the spring 14 into sealing engagement around the edges of a hole 8a in the base of the ring 8. The tubular support 1 is secured by means of a shoe 2 to the frame B of a drying machine and the hole 8a and the bore of the support 1 are of rectangular shape. |
