A system for producing carbon nanotubes is provided to enable continuous production of carbon nanotubes, and trap and recover the produced carbon nanotubes effectively. A system(10) for producing carbon nanotubes includes: a furnace(112) which pyrolizes a metal catalyst and a carbon-containing gas to induce synthesis of carbon nanotubes on the metal catalyst; a vent line(130) which vents gas containing carbon nanotubes synthesized on the metal catalyst from the furnace; and a trapping apparatus(200) which is installed on the vent line and traps the carbon nanotubes synthesized on the metal catalyst using magnetic force. The apparatus(200) for trapping carbon nanotubes includes: a housing having an internal space through which the exhaust gas comprising carbon nanotubes grown on a metal catalyst passes; and a magnetic block which is installed in the housing and traps the carbon nanotubes grown on the metal catalyst using magnetic force.
