METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PRESSURE-BALANCE OF KIMCHI REFRIGERATOR

An apparatus and method for controlling pressure balance of a Kimchi refrigerator are provided to maintain pressure balance when a compressor is turned off and reduce influence of the internal temperature of another storage room caused by latent heat by turning on the remaining stepping valve after standing by for a preset waiting time in an active state of the stepping valve when the compressor is turned off. An apparatus for controlling pressure balance of a Kimchi refrigerator comprises: a valve driving part to drive a first stepping valve and second stepping valve; a timer to count time; and a control part to control the first stepping valve and second stepping valve to be opened toward the side from a first storage room to a fourth storage room by controlling the valve driving part if the counted time passes a first waiting time after determining an active state of the first stepping valve and second stepping valve when a compressor is turned off. A method for controlling pressure balance of the Kimchi refrigerator comprises: determining an active state of the first stepping valve and second stepping valve when the compressor is turned off; determining whether or not a first waiting time passes while maintaining an active state of the first stepping valve and second stepping valve until the preset first waiting time passes if an active of the first stepping valve and second stepping valve is determined; and turning on the first stepping valve and second stepping valve to the side from the first storage room to the fourth storage room if the first waiting time passes.
