A method for displaying a safe screen according to vehicle speed and a vehicle multifunctional multimedia player using the same are provided to previously prevent a traffic accident by compulsorily transferring to safe screen mode when the speed of a vehicle exceeds a reference speed, automatically intercepting a DMB screen, and displaying a safe screen. A vehicle multifunctional multimedia player(100) comprises a DMB module(110), a GPS module(120), an LCD module(130), an input unit, a storage(160), an audio part(170), a communication port(180) and a multimedia processor(102). The DMB module(110) receives a DMB program. The GPS module(120) receives a GPS signal to produce the present speed and location information of a vehicle. The LCD module(130) displays a DMB screen to output the received DMB program and a navigation screen to output navigation information. The input unit processes user input. The storage(160) stores a navigation database to produce navigation information on the basis of the present speed and location information of the vehicle. The audio part(170) outputs audio signals to an embedded speaker. The communication port(180), connected with an external host, upgrades software and the navigation database, and downloads data. If a navigation function is selected, the multimedia processor(102) produces the present speed and location information of the vehicle using the received GPS signal, creates navigation information through the navigation database, and displays the navigation screen through the LCD module(130).
