A sludge collector is provided to prevent mis-operation of a device and facilitate management of the device, by automatically controlling the tension of a chain winding on a driving sprocket and plural driven sprockets so as to keep the tension of the chain uniformly. A sludge collector comprises a driving unit, a driving sprocket, a plurality of driven sprockets, a chain winding on the driving sprocket and the driven sprockets in an endless track type, a plurality of flights, and a tension control unit. The tension control unit includes a guide rail(12), connecting members(20,40), and an elastic unit. A tail shaft(10), on which one of the driven sprockets is mounted, is movable backward and frontward on the guide rail. The connecting members are fixed to the shaft. The elastic unit is connected to the connecting members so that the elastic unit has a restoration force for pulling the shaft installed on the guide rail. The elastic unit pushes the shaft installed on the guide rail by elastic force thereof, thereby tensing the chain. Further, the elastic unit contains a fixing block, first and second plates, first and second U-bolts and an elastic member. |
