A small-sized timer is provided to control power stably and to use electronic devices safely by preventing the power from being connected to both terminals in cutting off the power. In a small-sized timer, a cam(434) is installed in a timer case and interlockingly rotated by a driving member(420). Input power of an intermitting member is switched and intermitted by a rotary lever(451) turned according to the shape of an outer peripheral surface of the cam. The intermitting member comprises a switching terminal(442) for applying input power; a connecting terminal(444) switched by turning a terminal lever of the switching terminal by the rotary lever; and a driving lead connected with the terminal lever pushed by the rotary lever, to apply the input power to a driving motor of the driving member. The cam is rotated together with a cam shaft gear(434a) on a co-axial line. The outer peripheral surface of the cam comprises a circular surface, an inner placing groove, and a circular arc-shaped middle groove. The circular surface contacts with a tip portion of a guide piece of the rotary lever to push the terminal lever together with the rotary lever. The guide piece of the rotary lever is contacted to the middle groove to prevent the terminal lever from being pressed by the rotary lever.
