An electronic key providing system and a method, a terminal for the same, and a recoding medium thereof are provided to cope with the loss of an electronic key effectively by asking a user for the electronic key locking/unlocking a door lock device, and temporally storing the electronic key in a mobile terminal. In an electronic key providing system connected with a door lock device(300) through a second communication network to transmit and receive data to/from first and second terminals(100,110) through a first communication network, WISE(Wireless Information Service Environment,600) stores an electronic key locking/unlocking the door lock device and generates a request for transmitting or deleting a temporal key corresponding to the electronic key by receiving a request of transmitting the temporal key to the second terminal and deleting the temporal key, from the first terminal. A UMC(Universal Subscriber Identity Module Management Center,400) receives a temporal key transmitting/deleting request from the WISE, generates a remote control command for storing or deleting the temporal key by the second terminal, on the basis of the temporal key transmitting/deleting request, and then transmits the remote control command to the second terminal.
