The invention is appertaining to devices for recycling, in this case it is a device for cutting of useless rubber tires of large size, independently on the width, diameter and weight of the tire. The proposed method for cutting the worn out rubber tires of large size is carried out using a cutting device (1) which is installed on the square frame consisting of two parts (2) and comprises corrugated rolls (3, 4), a fixed frame (5) and a mobile frame (7), consisting of cutting mechanisms (6) which are installed in runners (12, 14) and equipped with cutters (24, 25) which are provided for simultaneous cutting of the side parts of rubber tires and which can be moved radially against the geometrical centre of the tire. For cutting the middle part of the protector on circumference there is a construction (drawing No.5) which is placed on stands (10) which are coupled with the fixed frame (5) and the square frame (2) . The stands (10) hold a bar (29) which is equipped with a holder of cutters (30) and a cutter (32) which are coupled with a clutch and a lever (28) , and this construction is able to move in axial direction to the geometrical centre of the tire. During the cutting the rubber tire is backed by the corrugated rolls (3,4) and is placed vertically between the fixed frame (5) and the mobile frame (7) so it can rotate.
