摘要 The invention relates to optoelectronic instrument engineering. The aim of said invention is to increase the accuracy and reduce time required for automatically focusing an optical system on the surface element of a cylindrical or a flat object. The inventive method for scanning images of a microrelief consists in scanning individual rectangular fragments of the object side surface by means of a video camera provided with a CCD matrix, in processing the thus obtained data items and in synthesising an entire involute. The inventive method also consists in focusing the objective lens of said video camera provided with a CCD matrix by translating it along the optical axis of the objective lens, in simultaneously forming two light slits on the side surface of the object and in determining a focusing value. The inventive device also comprises an additional slotted illuminant which is located oppositely to a main illuminant, wherein the video camera provided with a CCD matrix and with the main and additional illuminants, which are fastened thereto, is arranged in such a way that it is translatable along the optical axis of the objective lens thereof.
