FIELD: weapons and ammunition. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to armour-piercing incendiary bullets that are used in the construction of cartridges for a 12.7 mm calibre aerial artillery weapon. It describes a coated armour-piercing incendiary bullet comprising a steel core, an incendiary composition and a lead jacket. The coat is made of a polymer material and the lead jacket has longitudinal notches preventing the coat from falling off. The coat of said armour-piercing incendiary bullet may be made of high-strength heat-resistant thermoplastics such as polyamides, polycarbons, polyphenylene oxides, polyarylates and polysulfones. ^ EFFECT: reducing the intensity of wearing out and substantially increasing the durability of bores. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg |
