The said device incorporates expendable wedges every one of which has a boss arranged so that to allow its vertical motion in a groove made in the positioning plate and a threaded hole to receive the screw that can be turned in the positioning plate vertical hole and coupled with a locking element via its upper end. Note that the expendable wedge working surfaces are made inclined relative to the lower base of each of the wedges at various angles and are designed to interact with the stop fixed at the toolholder end face.
