The instrument has a control mechanism for activating or deactivating an inlet/outlet of writing point of a pen or a lead of a pencil situated on a lower part of the instrument in a gripping region of index and major fingers (10, 9). The mechanism includes an external sliding element in main direction of the instrument, where the element includes a cursor associated to an internal element driving the advancement of the writing point or the lead with respect to a back pulling elastic element e.g. central spring, where the spring surrounds the lead.
