A clutch-brake assembly is provided to be coupled with various driving shaft having different force and torque conditions by controlling a spring constant and a transmission force of the clutch-brake assembly. A clutch-brake assembly comprises a base member(50), a clutch surface connected to a driving power source, a brake surface connected to a fixing frame(30), a piston(108), which is connected to the base member and reciprocates in a first direction and a second direction relative to the base member, a plurality of power transmitting members that extend between the piston and the base member, a plurality of springs for allowing the piston to reciprocates and a spring retainer disposed between the base member and the piston. The piston reciprocates in the first direction to press a first friction surface such that the first friction surface makes contact with the clutch surface. The piston reciprocates in a second direction to press a second friction surface such that a second friction surface makes contact with the brake surface.
