PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform radio communication to be robust for a parity error generated in a SIGNAL field in a preamble.

SOLUTION: A predetermined rule is given to information described in L-SIG of a legacy packet or an MM packet in IEEE802.11n standards. An HT (high throughput) terminal is provided with a means for detecting that the details of description of the L-SIG complies with the standards, wherein if the L-SIG contains described information out of the standards, the information read from the L-SIG is discarded as invalid information even if no parity error is detected. Thus, false positive detection accuracy is improved.
