<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data authentication device capable of performing authentication if authentication data of the same type as that of a reading function of biodata is registered. <P>SOLUTION: A system is constituted of a server, which holds the authentication data registered from a client and the client connected to the server, and the client, who has a data reading means for authentication and transfers the authentication data input from an authentication data input means to an authentication server in preset timing of authentication. The system collates the authentication data with authentication data transmitted from the client and transmits its result to the client.
