PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of more surely informing a cameraman of a video camera about the information associated with the probability of a just focus state of the video camera. SOLUTION: In transmitting control information between the video camera 100 and a camera control unit 200, the video camera 100 discriminates the just focus state, generates a command signal depending on a result of the discrimination, multiplexes an image signal, the command signal depending on the results of the discrimination, and a control information signal comprising status information denoting a state of its own camera, and transmits the multiplexed signal to the camera control unit 200, and the camera control unit 200 receives the multiplexed signal, extracts the command signal depending on the result of the discrimination of the just focus state from the received multiplexed signal, and raises a warning depending on the command signal.
