A change from building-on-land to building-above-land reserves land ( 12 ) for vegetation ( 16 A, 16 B, 16 C) the earth's solar system, and natural environment. High columns ( 26 A, 26 C) are mainly for short vegetation ( 16 B) to grow under buildings ( 18 A, 18 C, 18 D, 18 E). Low columns ( 26 B) are mainly for tall and extra tall vegetation ( 16 A, 16 C) to grow over buildings ( 18 B, 18 C, 18 D, 18 E). High columns ( 26 A, 26 C) and low columns ( 26 B) can support buildings ( 18 C, 18 D) together and reserve land ( 12 ) for different vegetation ( 16 A, 16 C, 16 B). Columns ( 26 A, 26 B, 26 C) can be developed into various supporting structures ( 52 A, 52 B, 52 C, 52 D) and supporting-greenhouses ( 54 A, 54 B, 54 C) that can create indoor ecosystem, reduce cost for heating, increase arable land in barren areas, and keep conventional building styles, conveniences and privacy. Substitutes ( 26 E, 26 D, 34'', 54 D) are also available to support roads ( 24 A, 24 B) and building ( 18 F). Columns can support most architectural structures, keep natural environment in cities, and reduce pollution and global warming.
