A hybrid driver which can perform traveling through a second dynamo-electric machine over a long time with a large rotary driving force regardless of the charged state of a power storage means such as a battery. The hybrid driver comprises an input shaft (I), an output shaft (O), first and second dynamo-electric machines (MG1, MG2), first and second planetary gears (P1, P2), and a plurality of friction engagement elements. The first and second planetary gears (P1, P2) are provided, respectively, with connection rotary elements (mj) connected to rotate integrally through a transmission member (M), the first planetary gear (P1) has the input shaft (I) and the first dynamo-electric machine (MG1) connected, respectively, with two rotary elements other than the connection rotary element (mj), the second planetary gear (P2) has the output shaft (O) and the second dynamo-electric machine (MG2) connected, respectively, with two rotary elements other than the connection rotary element (mj), and the plurality of friction engagement elements includes a first brake (B1) for selectively securing the transmission member (M) and the connection rotary element (mj) rotating integrally therewith to a nonrotative member (Ds). |
