The device has a sampler (310), which consists of an input (310a) for a periodical measuring signal that exhibits a constant or variable frequency, and another input (310b) for a reference signal stimulating ideal phase characteristics of the measuring signal. An output (310c) of the sampler is provided for a sample value of the reference signals scanned under application of the measuring signal. A reference signal generator (320) with an output (320a) coupled with the input (310b) of the sampler. A phase deviating detector (330) with an input (330a) coupled with an output of the sampler. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for measuring the phase deviation (2) a computer program with a program code for implementing the method for measuring the phase deviation.
