The end of the tube (1) which is fitted over the end of an adjoining tube has a narrow section (2, 3) with a reduced diameter. Independent claims are also included for (a) a frame, especially a scaffolding frame, containing at least one of these tubes as a stand tube, and (b) scaffolding containing at least one of these tubes.
