An apparatus for displaying a photographing area is provided to simultaneously perform photographing and the display of a photographing area using a simple configuration unified with a video camera. An apparatus for displaying a photographing area comprises a laser generation unit(110), a conversion unit(120) and a laser forwarding unit(140). The laser generation unit(110) generates and irradiates a laser beam having a specific wavelength band. The conversion unit(120) converts the laser beam, generated and irradiated from the laser generation unit(110), in the form of an indicator which can display an appointed region. The laser forwarding unit(140) enables the converted laser beam to be outputted on the forwarding path of an image forwarding light, which delivers the image information of an object, to a camera, in the opposite direction to the image forwarding light.
