CONCENTRATE BURNER, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING FLASH SMELTING FURNACE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentrate burner by which smelting reaction can be completed in a reaction tower because the ignition of dry ore which is charged into the reaction tower via the concentrate burner provided to the top of the reaction tower of an flash smelting furnace can be stably and rapidly performed even in the case where the charging quantity of the dry ore is increased and also to provide a method for operating the flash smelting furnace using the concentrate burner by which efficient operation can be performed by decreasing the amount of dust generated in the flash smelting furnace and the concentration of magnetite in slag.

SOLUTION: At least one combustion oxygen jet hole 22 for supplying combustion oxygen 19 accelerating the combustion of heavy oil 18 jetted via a heavy oil jet hole 23 into the reaction tower is provided at the outside vicinity of the heavy oil jet hole 23 which is located in the position at the end part of a heavy oil burner or oxygen fuel burner vertically disposed in the central part of the concentrate burner provided at the top of the reaction tower of the flash smelting furnace.
